Who Is Going to Save You
Our society is rapidly falling into decay . . . our economy HAS collapsed and is only getting worse . . . racial and religious divide is flaring up and with all of this combined together, they feed off each other creating even more growth of one another. So who is going to save you during all of this?
No, this isn’t a “religious” piece where I lament the loss of God in society and most definitely this is not about political parties. However, the loss of God is a factor and if anyone thinks the democrat party is the party to lead us out of the troubles we are in or to save you from what is occurring, is sorely blind, stupid or is one of the deceivers in the midst. Does that automatically mean the Republican Party is the “chosen party” . . . well, if you believe that, you have already been deceived?
This instead is a self introspective piece for each of us to decide what we are going to do . . . and if we ever plan to do it. This isn’t about scaring people or creating an emotional upsurge from within you, that is what we have politicians and the weather channel for. The time was years ago to act, but not to say we shouldn’t start now.
The economy in the United States is dismal. It is beyond bad, it is horrible and has been for quite some time. Obama’s fault, Bush’s fault (any of them), Clinton’s fault, Reagan, trickle down, trickle up, voodoo, fuzzy math, you name it, they all have one thing in common. They participated in a system that combined democrat and republican lead congresses and presidents. The greed of our governmental leaders in America is out of control. From Federal to local, governments have not stopped wasting and spending money, they have only found new ways to get around it. Where local and state governments have to balance budgets, they have sought out new forms of revenue and skirting the system to run up more debt, whether through bonds or whatever, while cutting back spending in only a few spots (namely education) but very few governments have truly taken cost abolishing measures. I can cut my hair but it always comes back, abolish it and it is gone. So who is going to save us from this mess? Who is going to save you? Do you trust our politicians to do this? Is it the democrats that are going to save us? How many more “plans” do we need?
For those of us in Texas, there is a border war going on. It is estimated that almost 40,000 (in Mexico) “people had been killed since December 2006, including suspected drug gang members, members of the security forces and those considered innocent bystanders.” Surely this number is even higher and is very concentrated near the US border. “And a Senate report in June 2011, Halting US Firearms Trafficking to Mexico, suggested that some 70% of firearms recovered from Mexican crime scenes in 2009 and 2010 and submitted for tracing came from the US.” Of course, when your own government has created programs to intentionally sell our firearms to those criminals, possibly in hopes of trying to report just said statistics, in hopes of blaming the US and guns in particular on everything that happens in this world, who is it you think is going to save you if this violence spills over into the US even more than it has and up into the US even farther? Is the same democrat lead government that is trying to take your 2nd Amendment rights away from you the one that is going to do it? Is it the same government that is intentionally selling our weapons to the enemy the one that is going to save you? And those same evil “automatic” weapons we are not allowed to have, are the same ones our government is selling to the criminals. And understand, the ultra liberal ACLU is lamenting the estimated 5,000 deaths that occurred on the border over the last 10-15 years due to those illegally trying to cross the border and being pushed to do so in less “friendly” crossing areas (like deserts). And understand, those deaths are from starvation, heat stress and the like, NOT from the acts of someone else. So, don’t be expecting the ACLU to be coming to your aid. A huge surprise I know.
Islamic uprisings and civil unrest even resulting in the overthrow of governments is running rampant in the Middle East right now. Sometimes governments are so evil they must be overthrown and that is a fact of life. Nevertheless, this type of violence always has a chance to spill over into other regions. This type of violence is also many times used by other governments to legitimize actions they will take where they will take more drastic measures on the citizenry to “ensure the safety of everyone.” If we have civil unrest occur or governmental measures like the one above described, who is going to save you?
Other religious tension is escalating again in the world, namely against Jews and Christians. For me, it is not really about religion, but it really is about tolerance. It is about tolerance of all faiths. It is about stepping up and being intolerant for those faiths that are intolerant of everyone else, regardless of faith. Israel is constantly under attack, literally and figuratively and done so by neighbors that are merely miles away. There is the history of Jewish suppression and annihilation in Europe and with further economic decline, hatred is many times sought to have an outlet, and we are seeing anti-Jewish sentiment flaring up. If this were to trickle to the US, who is going to save those of the Jewish faith? Who is going to save you? Will it be the same government that continually turns its back on one of the only true, continual US allies (Great Britain being our other real ally)? Will it be the government that tolerates blatant threats of destruction of Israel by neighboring countries? The many Jews in this country, sitting comfortably thousands of miles away from Israel, that cozy up to the democrat party, is that the party they will want to be snuggling with if that same anti-Jewish sentiment that this same party endorses allows it to trickle to our borders?
And what about Christian persecution? We don’t have to wait for that to reach our borders, it is already here. Have Christians been killed here? No, not yet, but this isn’t the case for a traffic signal, where we should wait for a certain amount of “acceptable” deaths before we institute some measure of civility to stop it. The attack on God and Christians has been occurring for the past century and certainly in greater force over the past two decades. Freedom of religion has begun to apply only to every other religion, but not for Christianity. It is said that “Evangelicals” (who ever they are and whatever that means) run and dictate the Republican Party. Even if that were true, atheist and humanist run the democrat party, so which would you prefer? But either way, when we begin to allow segments of society to label other segments of society and create animosity, bad things follow. More importantly, when we allow our government to start the labeling of its own people, who will save you if because of your faith, they start coming for you?
And what about racial tensions in this country? A recent congressman from Indiana (his race withheld to protect the guilty) suggested the tea party as perhaps wanting to reinstitute lynching of the black race. Really? And California Rep. Maxine Waters has no problem in sending the entire tea party “straight to hell.” Pretty strong words for someone who probably would object to anyone talking about heaven in a public forum. The Congressional Black Caucus has accused the tea party of being racist as well, citing the tea party as apparently being responsible for the high unemployment in the black communities. It has been said, that this racism stems from the tea party advocating that the federal government stop and cut its wasteful spending. Again, pretty strong words and a far reach since it is not as if the tea party has advocated the cease and desist use of DDT that consequently allows for the death of millions of people all over the world and primarily in Africa, no, that would be liberals and their caring ways, depending on zero science evidence to substantiate the actions. All of this too, despite the fact that there is no technical party called the Tea Party, nor the fact that democrats, who up until recently controlled the House, Senate and the Presidency and still control 2 of the 3, apparently want to blame a non-existent political party, that is actually comprised of individual citizens fighting to end government waste, are responsible for all the ills of the country. But the real issue here is a greater divide, spurred on by our government, to create division, animosity and unrest among its people. With a Black Panther group that is still thriving in the open, espousing its hatred of all other races and teaching its own members how to conduct violence, is this the healthily atmosphere we need to be creating? Is this racial harmony? And when the violence hits the fan, who is going to save you? Who is going to protect you and your family? Is it going to be the same government that incites racial hatred or calls a segment of its society “extremists” and “terrorists” (but can’t call those that kill our soldiers terrorists)?
So who is going to save us? I hope we are not all waiting around for some knight in shining armor. The only singular person to save us is you and it will take a lot of “you’s” to do so. The word that is never mentioned in political circles is “Liberty” and perhaps that is where we should start, especially given its great prevalence in the vocabulary of the founding of this country. Governments don’t talk about it because it is not given by governments, is not created by governments and cannot be legislated by governments. Governments can only take liberty. And liberty is not like freedom. Governments can take certain freedoms and yet you can still be “free”. Once liberty is gone, it is gone, unless we work to get it back. I just hope we understand the power of our vote, but also understand the season of deception is upon us and our vote can obviously be bought, but will we let it? Has your democrat President used the term liberty ever? How about your democrat Congressman? Has a republican? I think it is time WE start to demand more, because no one else is going to save us, but us.
