The North Houston Tea Party Patriots has many committees that you can get involved in. Together we can change the direction of our country!
TRAINING COMMITTEE: Presents entry-level activist training programs (live, video, and online) with proven organizational and communication techniques, including how to build our grassroots organization and tactics for successful grassroots lobbying and Get Out The Vote efforts. Visit the Training page for examples. This group works closely with the Activism Committee.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Opportunity to research, write, fact check articles or materials for publication, and for daily contributions to the website. Will assist and participate in the upcoming Constitutional classes. Reach out to the community and youth through educational teaching. Create a reference and lending library at NHTPP HQ. This group works closely with Activism, Communications and Training Committees. If you have meticulous writing and research skills then this group is for you!

ACTIVISM COMMITTEE: Puts Tea Party principles into ACTION – in our neighborhoods & community: and at the local, state and national levels of government. We also work with other activist groups that share our conservative principles. Activism includes Get Out The Vote, issues lobbying, grassroots neighborhood networking, and more. Not sure what to do? The Training team will teach you how to be an effective activist! Each and every member has a valuable role to play in achieving our goal of effecting conservative change, and Activism has all kinds of projects in the works just waiting for YOUR time and talents. EVENTS COMMITTEE: Plans, organizes and manages all events for the NHTPP. Depending on the size and type of the event, we will develop various teams to identify all necessary steps to accomplish the goal. Whether it be smaller events such as Appreciation Dinners, debates, election watches, or major events with large turnouts of crowds such as the Sam Houston Race Park, the Events Committee will take the lead to accomplish a good end result. Events works with other committees in the planning and organization of each event, both big and small. This group works actively year round. Come join the fun!

MEMBERSHIP/VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE: This committee recruits members and volunteers. The objective is to convert visitors to members and members to volunteers. Volunteers operate as team members on NHTPP projects and committees. Individual volunteers are encouraged to increase their role and responsibilities as they participate. You are invited!

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: Responsible for communicating the NHTPP goals and core values for all media and material produced. This includes, but is not limited to: website and interactive media, community and upcoming events writers, design & graphic/computer artists, computer/website/interactive media Engineers & Technicians. Be responsible for weekly email blasts on current topics for membership and content writing and distribution. We are seeking to find writers, editors, graphic artists, web designers, and web and interactive builders and technicians. This committee will work closely with all other committees. If you have those skills then we NEED YOU!

SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE: Locates and develops new Sponsors for the NHTPP. Responsible for maintaining relations, and ensuring that the needs of all Sponsors are met as appropriately as possible. The Sponsorship Committee is also accountable for devising adequate sponsorship levels and donation amounts.

Responsible for media requests, interviews and stories. Develop relationship with media on behalf of NHTPP. Write and submit Press Releases for NHTPP Events, coordinate media for NHTPP events and serve as spokesperson for the organization.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: Responsible for gathering funds so NTTPP can continue to operate on a day to day basis. Consists of, but not limited to, “passing the bucket” and collections at open meetings, coordinating all cash collection at special events, coordinating internal control procedures, as approved by the Treasurer for the handling of cash and bank deposits. There will be no scheduled meetings at this time; however, meetings will occur as dictated by Events. Works closely with Events and Merchandise Committees.
